Some interesting stuff, but much longer than it needed to be. Large portions can be skimmed unless you are writing a research paper. Favorite tidbit from the book: "It is virtually impossible to lasso a zebra."
I think he made it too simplistic. Geographical luck is way too simple of a theory to explain why some civilizations are more advanced than others. I think he underestimated aspects such as culture and religion.
