Evelina

Hard to get into at first, but great book once you get past the beginning. Volume III is my favorite part of the whole book. Burney had me angry one second, then laughing the next.

I enjoyed this quite a bit :)

This was my first epistalary novel and i really enjoyed it. The characters were all really well developed and often really funny (Mme. Duval and the Browns). fanny Burney did a wonderful job of making it flow well, even with the letter format. I wholeheartedly recomend it, espescially if you like the epistalary form.

A very interesting book especially for a fan of Austen. Austen often cites Fanny Burney as an inspiration and you can see why. It is a sweet story although some of the situations Evelina gets into are enough to make you squirm uncomfortably.
