The descriptions fitting naturalism, is what made the book in the first place renowned, but they are a drag to read!!

Dans ce livre vous avez des descriptions, des descriptions, des descriptions... Et des descriptions. Doublées d'une intrigue plutôt inintéressante. On voit bien la démarche de Balzac, mais malheureusement c'est affreusement longuet, sans saveur.
