A brilliant book!

All I can say is OUCH!!!!!

The reason this book gets a C and not a B rating is the fact there were parts of this book that were entirely too long and unnecessary. Over all I liked the story, and the ending was rather nice, but some of the sex scenes (however erotically well written they were, and I enjoyed them) could have been cut. The book was intriguing, but it could have been better.

excellent but creepy! not about vampires but based on real history.

Okay, this book gave me a whole new outlook on homosexuality. If you like Anne Rice's style, you'll love this book, one of her best I think.

Beautifully described, and darkly rich. This is a wonderful book.
