This is a disappointing book, considering the rave quotes from Atwood, Updike, New York Times Book Review and all kinds of other sources on the covers. I can't complain too much because I got it used for about a quarter, and it kept me interested enough to not stop reading. But the satire was flat, the characters were uninteresting, and the writing style left me only marginally interested.

god, another book not to read if you are down on men. Her boring lame confused two-timing male characters feel real, like someone you've known, or dated, who was painfully pompous and clueless. However, it is mildly enjoyable to see this type skewered in print. But do you really want to spend your cozy reading time hanging out with these dicks?
