more This book has considerably improved my quality of life. The recipes range from the pleasantly simple (but still delicious) to the more complex (but in a fun way, and still delicious). Once you invest in the spices (I would reccomend picking a region and trying a bunch of recipes from there, so you don't have to buy a huge variety of spices), the ingredients are cheap and easy to come by - and since there are so many recipes, if something looks too difficult you can just turn the page and try out something else. In addition, Jaffrey is such a good writer - and adds nice colorful anecdotes to her explanations and recipes - that the book itself is fun to read and look over.
