A classic mystery that serves as a vehicle for an analysis of the lost dreams of the 1960's, The Last Good Kiss is as good a read today as it was 30 years ago.
One of the best neo-hard-boiled's out there. The poem that inspired the novel's title is amazing, too. Great dialog that hits like a drunken Hemingway.
Only book I ever re-read just as soon as I finished reading it the first time! VERY readable mystery set on the backroads of Montana and the Northwest. Loved it.
Fabulously evocative writing. Funny. Haunting. Beautiful. Made me want to roll the western landscape, stopping at every small roadside bar until I find a destination.
