I greatly enjoyed this book. The play on words, working with logic and numbers, the great characters... there wasn't much missing. I'd even go as far to say it was an EDUCATIONAL book. Fabulous! I'd recommend it to anyone at any age, but especially to kids aged 10-12.

I would say that to truly appreciate this book, you need to read it yourself - not have it read aloud to you. There are so many play on words that you need to see the written word and have some understanding of homophones.

I LOVE this book and need to read it to my girls between one of the Series of Unfortunate Event books (which are driving me crazy and yes I've read the ending of Book 13 which doesn't help). It tickles me to pieces that Juster was one of the architects of the Chan Shun Dining Commons at AUC. My copy is signed. (sigh)

A truly wonderful book. I loved all of the word parodies.

One of my favorite childhood books! I love Tock the Dog! Did Milo dream all of it, or was it his overactive imagination, or did it really happen?? The world may never know, but it is a shame my nieces and nephews are too old now to appreciate it - maybe when they get to adulthood they will pick it up.
