such an amaIng book. i read the second before this, twice. they are both amazing. i cant tell you how amaIng this book is, it brought new perspective to my life.
Who knew you could learn so much about life by a young girl with a drunk father and a summer job as a shoe owner's personal driver? Who knew this same girl would become a hero? I sure didn't: not until I read Rules of the Road.
lots of little hints for us teenagers, like (this one caught my eye) how to take care of "blonde" siblings, self-respect, dignity, etc. i love the mom. "my dear daughters... dear offspring... do it or die. your loving mother". sarcasm wins me over.
