I wish I had never read this book! It is one of the only books I have ever regretted reading. It's been over 20 years since I read it, and it still haunts me. I stubbornly cling to my belief that most people have good hearts, in spite of stories like this one.

One of the most fabulous books I have read in my life.It opened an entirely new way to read books.The story is about a bunch of british choir boys who are thrown into a deseterd island during world war and how they become savages enough to kill their own.It was an amazing revelation that man is after all an animal and without the rules of the society we always fall back to our basic...more
