Commander Vimes arrives as Ankh-Morpork's ambassador but he soon finds he's an escaped prisoner--out in the icy woods, wearing only the gloomy trousers of Uncle Vanya and being chased by a pack of fascist werewolves who don't play by the rules. less
took too long to get into the good bits.. i nearly put it down without finishing it because of that (but i didn't have anything else to read..).. from about the middle of the book, it's good stuff - not side-achingly funny, but not boring either.
A little more action packed than most other Discworld novels I've read. Was very hard for me to put it down... even when the clock struck three in the morning and I had to go to work at nine. Pratchett's writing as always shines through again. Can't wait to read the next one.
