To me, this is THE defining piece of military fiction. Reading this book forever raised my expectations of what a novel can accomplish. From the highly accurate technical detail to the myriad of units and characters to the mixed unit tactics, acts of heroism, and nail-biting moments of tension, everything this novel attempted, it accomplished.
