Black Notice (Kay Scarpetta)

Definitely very graphic and not for the "faint of heart"

Love the "Scarpetta" series!

I liked this book, quite scarey though, didn't think it was her best

I gave this book a low rating, but I realy feel like I should give it TWO seperate ratings. The first Scarpetta book I read was Predator, then I read BlowFly. (BlowFly still involves the Loup-Garou and Jay Talley history.)Because I read BlowFly, I enjoyed reading Black Notice because I knew that Cornwell was building up to more in the books to come. So, in that aspect, I really enjoyed the story. HOWEVER, if I had not read BlowFly and realized there was more to these characters, I really wouldn't ahve enjoyed the book. I found that it dragged and lost momentum in the middle of the book. As much as I love Cornwell's books, I almost felt like putting this book down in the middle of it.This book basically sets up the history you ned for the following books - it's not a good read on it's own without reading the next few, too.   hide
