Death in Paradise (Jesse Stone)

Boring and doesn't really unfold so much as you are told what happened. No sense of mystery no build up of who the character really is to feel bad/happy for them. The protagonist is supposed to be a hard boiled detective trying to crawl out of the bottle and conquer his addiction and figure out the puzzle that is his ex-wife, but it really doesn't ring with much depth.

I prefer Spenser and Sunny Randall to Jesse Stone at this point, but he could grow on me as I read more.

watch th HBO movie with Tom Selleck. He has done the series.

All the Jesse Stone book are great. Easy read. Easy to get hooked on the story line.
