This is one book that I will re-read, and am glad that I came across it.. The second novel I read. One of my favorites. Laura Shane, a writer, has a "guardian angel" since birth. This "angel" always help her in times of need, always the same face since she was born. What she doesn't know is that this guardian angel is only a human like her, who came from the further past to save the one he loves from her supposed fate.

When I first began to read this book I was utterly confused. I had no idea what time period or where it took place and honestly you don't truly find out until near the end of the book. In this way Koontz created a very unique and twisted love story that challenges how far would you go for love.

This one held my interest enough to keep me up 'till 1 am finishing it!! There's a little bit of everything in this story.....suspense, action, love story, science fiction. Laura, the main character, is easy to identify with and very likeable. All in all, a very interesting/entertaining read!!
