Definitely no Hunt for Red Oktober, or Red Storm Rising, it was just OK for me. Everything was pretty predictable especially the ending.

Well, I finished my first Tom Clancy novel. Maybe it's me but I wasn't all that impressed. Perhaps one of his other books would be better for me to read. So many people had recommended him to me but this particular book didn't do it for me. This book was about the set up of a private company to track down and kill terrorists. The political angle just wasn't one that I particularly agree with. I'm all against terrorists but the cavalier attitude that this book sets forth disturbs me. I don't see the characters as being terribly complex and I think that you would need to have that in a book that deals with a subject like this.   hide

My favorite thing in how this book was written is in a part when hero meets terrorist that paragraphs get shorter and start to blend together, It's a very entertaining story architecture
