The Hunger Games

Pretty good...I am looking forward to reading the next in the series, Catching Fire.

Best new book I've read in a couple years!

This book was great! I devoured it in one night! Collins realistically gets inside the head of someone going through a "survival of the fittest" scenario and draws you right in to root for her heroine and root hard. The only complaint I have is about Katniss taking so long to make up her mind about her "love interest", but I guess authors who are working on a series, generally like to drag...more

This book was great! I devoured it in one night! Collins realistically gets inside the head of someone going through a "survival of the fittest" scenario and draws you right in to root for her heroine and root hard. The only complaint I have is about Katniss taking so long to make up her mind about her "love interest", but I guess authors who are working on a series, generally like to drag something out to leave themselves more to work with in the next book. It will be interesting to see if Collins can top her first offering in this series.   hide

Couldn't put it down. Why do I keep picking books that have sequals or are part of a series. Too many books too little time!

I loved the Gregor series, but in this new series, Suzanna Collins has gone to new heights as an author. The plot is captivating, sometimes repulsive, yet truly rivoting. I couldn't put it down.
