A very good book! once you think it's over the author throws in another twist. I couldn't put it down! The ending could have been better, but besides that, this book was amazing. I think I'll read it again.

An excellent tale of a boy who longs to become a story teller in the realm of Lords and Ladies, Kings and Queens.  As I followed his journey from a horrific event, thus starting out his story, all the way to his greatest story that he tells of all time, I can't help but want to read it again.  It's definitely a book on my list to read again.

I loved this book. Very historically accurate and full of details. I found it emotionally stirring. It takes place in the 11th century near the time of the  Battle of Hastings.
