This installment in the Jack Reacher series is a flashback to when he was about 5 years into a 13 year military career. A general turns up dead on New Year's Eve in a hotel across the street from a house of ill repute. Unraveling this one takes Reacher all the way to the Pentagon!

I like this book because we meet Reacher when he's younger and still in the military police, but he still kicks sweaty wet hairy ace!!

My first Lee Child novel. He may give my fave Mr Deaver a run for it

Once again, Lee Child amazes us with the consistency on Jack Reacher's characteristics. The evolution of the plot, the character, the 'speed' is unique...classical Lee Child or should I say classical...Jack Reacher!!!
