Funny barely begins to describe this book for me. At first glance it is superficial, but after a second or two to think about it, I think Kinsella iis really highlighting some basic human instincts. We like to get what we want, when we want it, and we are good at putting the misery (i.e. paying for it!) out of our minds and convincing ourselves we can go on being selfish with no harm to anyone....

We like to get what we want, when we want it, and we are good at putting the misery (i.e. paying for it!) out of our minds and convincing ourselves we can go on being selfish with no harm to anyone. But, in the end, those of us that have a thread of responsibility in us buck up and pay the piper. Becky is me, and she is you, too.
