I read Karin Slaughter more than any other book while i was in iraq. I didnt even read books before the deployment but i knew that i liked mystery crime and faithless was the first Slaughter book that i read. I now buy her books by the pair. i would suggest if you want to could read and a nice crime to solve Faithless would be your best bet
