EW! This took me freakin' three months to read because I could never get into it. A collection of short stories (some not as short as I'd like), I picked it up hoping to read some before they were required for school reading. Most were unbearably boring and outdated, but there were the occasional few that really caught my eye. Despite its horrors, I really enjoyed seeing a collection of so many authors, because nothing else has ever so clearly demonstrated the many styles and voices of writing. The time periods of the stories (early 1900s-1950s) were intriguing, but as an entirety, I do not recommend this book.   hide
