This was my favorite book as a kid. I confess that I still read it about once every two or three years. Great writing, super city, cool characters. I wanted to be Harriet and like the other reviewers, went through a stage where I carried a notebook with me everywhere I went. It wasn't me though and I didn't like tomato and mayo sandwiches either. There was only one Harriet. The Long Secret was a disappointing sequel as was Sport. Harriet the Spy was the author's magnum opus.   hide
