Silent Boy, the (Readers Circle)

this is a really good book also and i recamend it to anybody

Not my favorite Lowry book - but still well written

I really liked this book-- but the content may be a little shocking for sensitive pre-teens.

A sad narrative about a girl growing up and also how she relates to a neighbor boy (with I assume autism). He never speaks to her with words, but Katie grows to understand certain things about him. Tragedy strikes near the end with Jacob, the silent boy, having his motives misunderstood and dealing with the permanent consequences of his actions.
