Sookie Stackhouse 8-copy Boxed Set (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood)

Harris does a fantastic job of tieing together a vampiric love story along with all the necessaries: blood, sex, magic, mystery, violence, and a plethora of supernatural beings. Better than anything Stephanie Meyer could ever produce and easily on the same level as Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. A must read for any fan of vampire literature.

An engaging story that keeps you turning the pages, I fell in love with Sookie and her world. Eric is one of my favorite characters, besides Sookie (who is a strong, independent woman). I can't wait for the 10th book to come out! Would definetly recommend to anyone who liked the Twilight series or the Blue Bloods series, another series to add to the vampire/supe world.

Finished this whole set a couple of weeks ago. They were really very good! I also finished #9 and #10 in the series as well. I never thought I'd characterize Sookie as flighty and irresponsible but with her choices in her mal companions she sure is!! Looking forward to seeing further character development in books yet to come ~

I love the True Blood books. Don't judge the books by the series which happens to suck. The series just went way off the story line. This series has the right amount of humor, action mystery, mystical creatures and plenty of sex appeal while still managing to be humorous. I couldn't read them fast enough.

The books are somewhat different from the series and so if you watch the series and read the books, it's lilke getting a double dose of True Blood...they wont "spoil" each other. so far read book 1 and on to book 2. Eh.. don't get the hype. I guess I am not into sex with dead guys who like to kill people and treat them less a lump of hamburger meat... hamburger meat that they want to have sex with then eat. Gross. edited to add. Just finished book 2 and won't be reading any more. What a bunch of crap. So distasteful.
