An interesting book with an interesting ending which led to the start of the "Chapter House" and the end series.

Lacked the drive of the previous books. Its ambling pace made it hard to get into and its hurried ending leading into Chapterhouse felt like an attempt at a cliffhanger. Hoping for more from Chapterhouse.

Long after the God Emperor's transformation back into thesand trouts, the worms came back on Rakis (time-modified name of Arrakis. Sisterhood continued independtly of their newer plys only to finally realize nobody is independent in this finely meshed up intricacy of the universe. An epitome of journey into human behavior, this novel tries to find a balance between emotion and reason.

Honestly, my favorite of the Dune books. This book combined with Chapterhouse: Dune are superb examples of social politics in science fictions. Herbert never assumes the reader is lame, and every line has meaning. A high recommendation for anyone that loves sci-fi and current events.

I like it, but be prepared the further you go into the series the more philosophical the plot becomes. Heretic is not near as philosophy driven as Dune Messiah, but it's still in that vein. A great book.
