more DANCE OF DEATH is one of a trilogy. I have come to hate triologies, everyone has to write them. However I am hooked on the stories witten by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. This trilogy consists of BRIMESTONE, DANCE OF DEATH, and THE BOOK OF THE DEAD. I have yet to read BOOK OF THE DEAD. The characters in these books are in many of Preston and Child's other works: MOUNT DRAGON, RELIC, RELIQUARY, THUNDERHEAD, THE ICE LIMIT, THE CABINET OF CURIOSITIES, and STILL LIFE WIH CROWS. The best, in my opinion is RELIC.
Any resemblance of one of the characters to Sherlock Holmes is completely deliberate. In the Preston Child's universe he is incarnated as a very rich FBI agent, with pale skin, wears black, and has an evil brother.
Preston and Childs give you a good scare, RELIC, and they are suspenseful and evocative writers. Even when I know how the plot is going to move, I find it hard to put any of the books down or stop reading.
