Very good book, very different than his political thrillers, great for folks that have lived in the mountains of Virginia.

My friend recommended it to me...he actually gave me three books by David Baldacci...and threatened to take them back if I didn't read...

I like the book...

I really enjoyed reading this book.  It's different than every Baldacci book that I have read.  Very lovely.  A great story of generations and the love of a mountain.

Enjoy Baldacci's Camel Club characters immensely; this book shows a totally different side of his writing skills. 
Write with pathos about the hard life of people totally dependant on 'the fruits of the earth'; emotional bonds between people formed in times and places not always of their choosing... enjoy!
