I don't have the edition that the thumbnail shows, I have the old as heck 1939 edition...that really needs to be rebound. Anyways, I think the new editions were made in like...the 70's or something, and were more "politically correct" and jazz. Anyways, I think the new editions were made in like...the 70's or something, and were more "politically correct" and jazz. I know this because in the second grade my teacher read us the older version at story time and I loved it - it got me hooked on Nancy Drew and reading. So I bought this newer version for myself and found that they had completely changed the storyline! And all my favorite parts were no longer in the book! So, if you're gonna read this book, make sure to get an older edition, 'cause the newer one is SO weak. This book got me in love with Nancy Drew and reading. However, the new edition, the one that actually has the cover shown here, sucks big time. You gotta get the original.   hide
