one of his older works, but compelling nonetheless. i think this work is the most entrenched in the fantasy genre of all his works. i mean, dragons, castles, kings and prince, wizards? it's all the most expected characters to populate high fantasy... but seriously, this fantasy yarn is unlike any other, mainly because this world, as with all of his other works, are tied to his dark tower...
more one of his older works, but compelling nonetheless. i think this work is the most entrenched in the fantasy genre of all his works. i mean, dragons, castles, kings and prince, wizards? it's all the most expected characters to populate high fantasy... but seriously, this fantasy yarn is unlike any other, mainly because this world, as with all of his other works, are tied to his dark tower world.taken by itself though, it is still very interesting. despite being sorta different in genre, it is very much a king book - a hint of terror, a touch of darkness - and quite frankly, fascinating. not a long read, but a nice change of pace from his mostly dense works.
