This is a very suspenseful but very good book! A must read for everyone who likes suspense. This was my first suspense novel that I read that really captured me right from the start! About a woman who leaves her husband and finds a portrait at an antique shope that she couldn't live without. She took the painting to her new home and things start to happen with the painting and thee woman gets her ultimate revenge on her husband! This is an absolutely fabulous book! One of my favorite books. I love how the book is written from the prospective of Rose and her husband. A definite must read!

I love this book because its all about a lady who has taken enough of her husbands abuse, taken a miscarrage being bitten over and over again and having bruises all over her, until she finds a spot of blood in her bed, which drives her wild! Takin her husbands money and nothing much else, she leaves off to a new town to start her new life, including a new love, job, friends and even some trouble...more

scary and full of suspense.

Am injoying this book greatly coming from a 7 year abuse relationship myself (not to that extent) im finding parts of this book realy easy to relate to that feeling of fear shortly after leaving that type of relationship, the feeling that go through you when finding true love for the first time after an abusive relationship .... deffinitly a must read.

Great book. Love the character tie-ins with Desperation and Regulators and the reference to "ka."

this is a great story line, i loved every page! read it, you'll love it

Good as a high school read. King definitely has a way of keeping you engaged.
