This is, without a doubt, my favorite Stephen King novel. I read it in sixth grade and it terrified me, but opened me up to the twisted world of Mr. King. For you Dark Tower fans: This book is highly recommended for Dark Tower tie-ins. For those of you who haven't read Stephen King: This book will get you on the right track.
