Don't waste your money or your time.
I couldn't even get through it because it was so bad, boring, and stupid.

Excellent! This book was my introduction to Little and I've been hooked ever since.. It's not so much in the story, but in the details... I am fascinated with a mind that can go to where Little's does..

LOVED THIS BOOK! it was the first Liitle book that i read. Very macabre stuff. he's got the craziest imagination of all the authors i read. HE delivers 99% of the time, and this book hooked me.

The most interesting part of the book was the prologue. The rest was average and it went downhill after that. Very average read.

So far so good. This book reminds me a lot of Robert McCammon's Swan Song and Stephen King's The Stand. The books tells five seperate mini stories about five very different people who are brought together by some dark, mysterious force which is represented by an old house that they all share similar memories of.

Not neccesarily dissapointing but slighty confusing.  Not a book for the young.  Not Little's best work but dont let this book reflect on the rest of his great work.

Different people, in different parts of the country, after each encountering terrible supernatural events, feel compelled to return to their childhood homes, where their lives stunk, in an effort to stop said supernatural events.  Though they each enter a different house, they find themselves in the same house.  Up until this point, the book is amazing, scary, engaging.  Once in the house it becomes dull and pointless.  Great beginning, okay middle, stupid end.  Don't bother.   hide
