Roadwork

Liked it. Not one of my favorites, but it was still worth reading.

obviously a Bachman book. Quick, easy read. Not especially exciting or intriguing, but kept my attention enough to continue reading it and complete it in a few hours.

Bart "George" Dawes is an interesting one. It is funny to see the mind of a crazy person. The books progression is a bit slow with just a couple highlights, but ends with a grand finale, much like 'The Running Man'. It seems the whole book sets up for just the ending, but I found it was worth it. Bachman 'King' even sets a soundtrack to the ending, Rolling Stones...more

I had just been dumped when I started reading this book, had a bachelor's degree with no good job prospects, and was living in my parent's basement. It was depressing as hell.
