more The venerable Dame Agatha presents a mystery whose main point of incredulity is that any couple, no matter how naive, might believe they can pry into a 20 year old murder with impunity. Luckily the omnipresent Miss Marple (who always seems to know someone who knows someone who's been murdered) is about to save them from their folly. As with much of Christie, there's a surprisingly icky undertone to the solution, if you read between the lines. Yet another treat crying out for a PBS dramatization.
