I read it in like two days. This series is (so far) awesome, and, even though its like 2500+ pages long, so interesting the page length is irrelevant. Roland is my hero.

Fantastic book. King show us how a western movie combined with magic and science can be cool as hell. Add some twisted and interesting characters, with some gunfight and you are looking at one of the best books ever. Excelent way to merge two worlds.

This is the beginning of Roland's ka-tet. This book is amusing, fast-paced and gives us a great sense of what Mid-World is really like. Lots of new and unusual discoveries go on here and we are ever the more intrigued by Mid-World's secrets of old.

I loved this book. The perfect followup to the gunslinger. He begins obtaining others from other worlds and times to reach the dark tower. As much as some parts drove me crazy, the detailed backgrounds on Eddie and Detta and then there meeting and 1st adventures with Rowland are amazing.
