more I like how the horror starts off being introduced subtly just by little signs of the absurd (naked obese man in gym, abrupt rudeness by hotel staff which you can imagine yourself doubting your own ears if it really did happen to you, just seeing a grotesque figure with an enlarged child's head on an impossibly long neck, and so on). It's nice for a change that horror isn't an all-out monster fest but an accumulation of little nagging things that, on their own, one can quite often shrug off. Of course, as all horror plots go, at the end there has to be a monster-fest-climax, and that's fine. But I appreciate most the build-up before the climax. I can see this made into a movie though I'm not sure how most audiences will take it as a movie.
