Short Straw

Really liked this one!

Great story about a laywer whose wife takes off with his money. He hires a couple investigators and a lot unfolds. interesting novel about a lawyer and the crazy twists his life makes after his wife leaves him and tries to empty his bank account. vivid characters

As superficial and trashy as usual...but still an enjoyable holiday read.

If you like your mystery/thrillers to be simple, fast reading and not much more, then this is one for you. Other Woods' novels are great and worth sharing with a friend while this one was not. When such a simple plot is as full of holes as this is, one has to wonder if this was written by an understudy only to fulfill a contract. Don't bother.

First novel by this author - Loved it! Had a bit of everything although not much on the courtroom scenes. Probably happens in his other novels. I will definitely read more.

One of his better stories, came up with a few great characters and had them get into incredible situations. Love the strong female villan!
