If you've seen the movie...you MUST read the book! After reading this I think I only understood 15% of the movie. Arthur C. Clarke is the master, and this one of his masterpieces.
One word: Poetic. That's the only possible outcome of the combined geniuses of Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke. The movie is brilliant, the book is astounding.
