An intriguing story about the interactions of men and women in a matriarchal society gone wrong. Anne Bishop was able to fit this addition to The Black Jewel universe seamlessly into the world she already created while adding a more in depth understanding of the attraction of power and love.
Not quite as good as the Trilogy but I love the series so much that it was just nice to read something else from this world
Not really Book 4 of the Black Jewels' Trilogy and not as good but still not bad
I started reading these bookes from the advise of a friend and since then I have read most of the booke that follow this story. This one isn't my favorite but it is still pretty good.
Incredible book, if you liked the Black Jewels Trilogy than you'll love this one. Technically it's a prequel, but I read it after the BJT and think it was better that way.
