The eighth in the Dresden Files series finds Harry, now a Warden, set on the trail of black magic. Movie monsters are coming to life, and Harry has to find out how. Then a punked-out Molly Carpenter appears on his doorstep, needing help. What happens next? A daring raid on the stronghold of the Winter Queen of the Faeries is just one thing...

I enjoy this series more and more with each book. I don't know how Butcher does it, but each book draws on the earlier ones in the series, until you've got a complex web of plots going on, but everything is very straightforward, never confusing. Added to that is the incredible wit and pop-culture references with which Harry's narration is endowed. It's irresistible.
