I finished this in a matter of a few days, and it was a great way to start off my summer reading. I really liked it because it didn't seem as contrived as the last book. I also like how Butcher is able to make these books adult, but not in a crude or shocking way. Lots of interesting developments here, both concerning Harry's past, which I love finding out about, and his love life, which...more

These books keep getting better. This was another impressive addition to the ongoing adventures of wizard-for-hire, Harry Dresden. Keep 'em coming, Mr. Butcher, keep 'em coming.

Gosh, I love this series. This latest book features so many cool scenes, so much awesome intrigue, so many sad realizations, and one heck of a fight between a shaman master wizard and an ancient shapeshifter. I can't wait until April 2010 when the next one comes out!

Another enjoyable book (#11) in the Harry Dresden Files. Good story line plus seeds for this novel were planted in the last few novels. It will be interesting to see how the overall arc of the story unfolds with the change in relationships that occurred here.

Much better than the last, but still not enough Bob for me. I hate seeing characters that we've grown attached to throughout the series fall by the wayside. Karrin is another example. She's present, but not like she was at the start. Kinda makes me sad. All in all, excellent book, and as always, can't wait for the next one!

Turn Coat probably has more character development / description of the Wizard's White Council than all of the other books combined. A member of the Council is killed and Harry's nemesis Morgan is blamed. Harry pulls together the Council, the White Court, his friends, powers of nature and others to find and defeat the real culprits. Along the way, he even gets a compliment from Morgan,...more
