It's a very pleasant book. The kind that gives you hope for mankind and how what all children need are nurturing, love and understanding for them to grow into decent grown-ups.

Almost inexplicably I like this books better than Little Women. This is primarily because it had Dan in it. I think he's awesome!

Alcott's sense of humor comes across really wonderfully in this book. I preferred it to Little Women for a long time.

A lovely book. Though it's not much against Little Women. A few parts are hilarious though. And I couldn't help crying when John Brooke died :)..All things considered it's a sweet read.
