I am in the middle of reading The Pilgrim's Progress right now. It is a fantastic book, and it is very enlightening. Anyone who regards 17th century puritanism with contempt for its alleged legalism and stiffness ought to read this book. It is very interesting to look into the past and see that the trials that people faced 350 years ago are unbelievably similar to the trials we face, as Christians, in this day and age. This is truly a timeless book. Readers will be rewarded. For fans of antique usage of the English language, Pilgrim's Progress offers something for you too. The original version (the only version which should be read) is written in an antique style of English (understandable since it was written in 1666). It is a bit unusual at first, but it is not too difficult to understand. It is well worth it!    hide

I love this great classic book. It's best for us to learn important value lesson but through a story and we can still get encourage by this tale. Even through it's not lions we face, the challenges God puts before Christians are just as scary to go through to get to the best of what God offers or through vanity fair is very real how we get distracted from our walk with the Lord. It is a must read if a Christian or not.    hide
