Who knows, maybe I rushed through it. It didn't sit well like his other works.

Interesting, but I've never believed in the idea of writing drama to be published and not performed.

Fantasy, folklore, dark comedy, verse, existentialist philosophy-all wrapped in one. Very entertaining as well; all the better when accompanied by Edvard Grieg's musical renditions of Ibsen's classic.

It's quite a philosophical work about finding the real essence of life and of the inner self, through adventures all over miles of meeting both fairy and real characters. Great black humour that develops a nice representation of life and it's chalenges. I also strongly suggest that you listen to Edward Grieg's Peer Gynt Suites 1&2, which include: Anitra's Dance, Aase's death, Solvieg's song, etc,...more
