 After reading The Three Musketeers, I quickly dubbed it my "favorite book of all time" -- passing up the former favorite, Romeo and Juliet.  Alexandre Dumas depicts a world in which pride and swordsmanship define a man.  Through the story of D'Artagnan, a hot-headed and emulous adolescent, the reader experiences the intricacies of a time long gone.  This story of 4 inseparable men, all willing to die to help the others, tweaked my outlook on the world -- and I'd recommend it to anyone.   hide
