An Old-Fashioned Girl

One of my favorite books. Unlike Little Women, everyone ends up where you knew they would, and it makes it that much sweeter.

I've read it like 10 times and just by adding it to the bookshelf I want to check it again... will it change this time?

I read this as a little girl and Polly's adventures have stayed with me even today. This is a timeless novel about a young girl's relationship with a family of a different socio-economic status than she. Polly eventually emerges a butterfly from her cocoon, whose struggles helped her find herself along the way.
