The Laughing Corpse (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Book 2)

This book was a fantastic follow up to Gulity Pleasures. Fun, brilliant, and intrieguing. I loved this book.

Lots of fun to read, yet again.

This book killed the series for me. The slow sections were really drug out and too close to one another. Not nearly as action packed as "GP". I was definately turned off by the big monster towards the end of the book. Plus the absence of my favorite character "Edward". I'd rather burn this book then re-read it...

Just the beginning!

This book was a great follow up to Guilty Pleasures which, while an awesome book, I felt it was a tad dry of personal development. I didn't feel like I really knew Anita and Jean-Claude but this book helped to flesh them out. Plus nothing makes for a good book like a creepy villain everyone loves to hate. Dominga gives me chills.

I was walking through a Borders one day looking for a book to read on a long plane ride. I came across this book having never heard of Laurell K. Hamilton or her Anita Blake Series. I picked it up on the off chance that it would hold my attention and was pleasantly suprised. I didn't realize that this was the second book in the series when I read it. It was so amazing and got me so into it that I went on to read the first book and am currently on book 11. Great book and great series. It comes highly recommended!   hide
