Anita came, Anita saw, Anita got her ass kicked a few times but ultimately, Anita came out alive.  Just once, I'd like Anita to get her ass kicked and it stay kicked.  
Her stories always wrap up nice and neat.  Anita gets her ass kicked a couple of times but she triumphs in the end - as always.  Just once, I'd like Anita to get her ass kicked and it stay kicked.  She can wrap it up in...more

5th book in the Anita Blake Vampire Series. Honestly, I still like the first four the best. ;) But this one was a good breath of fresh air from the "sameness" that they were developing. A good plot, and hey, JEAN CLAUDE.

After struggling with the first half I had to set this one aside and come back to it later and OMG I;m so glad I did. I picked it back up at just the right point in the story and couldn't quit reading 'til the exciting climax.

Really liked this one. I like how Anita went out of St. Louis and LOVED the people who joined her. I'm growing quite fond of this world :)

Ever feel like kicking evil butt? You can vicariously destroy evil and it's okay- cuz she's "killing" the dead. Enjoyable reads.
