When I first picked up the book, I thought my god it's huge! The book is much longer than the others in the Anita Blake series, not that this deterred me in the least I devoured this book as I do all by Laurell Hamilton, I am now a devoted fan. Even though the book is very long, it is still not long enough and through parts of the book I flicked back to see if I missed pages as some parts let...more

I love EDWARD!!!! I really enjoyed this book and I am glad Edward finally got more time in the book. I probably enjoyed it because of Edward.

Definitely my favourite in the Anita Blake series thus far. To be fair, however, I love Edward, he's a fascinating character. To anyone who hasn't read the Anita Blake series, but is a fan of horror, I say please give the books a try. I always shied away from the series because there were so many books, I thought it was just some crap some hack was pumping out to take advantage of the ...more

Pros: The series is wild and entertaining. This book is great because it centers on the "Edward" character. He's everyone's favorite hitman. Cons: After this book, or maybe after the next one, depending on how much of it you can take, these books get, er, weird. i feel like the only guy who's read part of the Anita Blake series. I was just cruising around Barnes & Noble one day looking for something to read and i saw Obsidian Butterfly, so i picked it up and took it home.
